The Power of an Ancient Lineage

In every field where knowledge has stood the test of time, lineage matters. Science advances through generations of mentorship, rigorous testing, and the careful preservation of knowledge. Medicine, music, martial arts, and traditional craftsmanship all recognize that true mastery is not created in isolation—it is cultivated through disciplined study under those who have walked the path before us.

Ancient wisdom traditions are no different.

The Lineage of King Salomon represents an unbroken transmission of teachings, practices, and lived experience that have been refined over millennia. Rather than relying on personal opinion or constantly reinventing spiritual practice, lineage preserves the integrity of a system while allowing each generation to embody and apply that wisdom in the modern world. Lineage understands that genuine mastery is not self-proclaimed, but developed through study, practice, mentorship, and service. By learning within an established tradition, you gain confidence that the tools have been carefully preserved, tested through generations of practitioners, and remain whole and unpolluted

Stewards of the Lineage of King Salomon

The purpose of the Modern Mystery School is to provide public access to ancient tools of self-mastery and to serve as the administrative body of the sacred Lineage of King Salomon. Just as we are called to be good stewards of the Earth, we are also called to be good stewards of wisdom—preserving what has proven true, embodying it with integrity, and passing it forward in service to future generations. Maintaining the integrity and purity of this Lineage while also sharing it with the public is a sacred responsibility carried by the Leadership of the Modern Mystery School, comprised of the three Lineage Holders (The Third Order of Sovereign Ipsissimi), the Governing Ipissimus and Ipsissima Council, and the Council of Twelve.

The Third Order of Sovereign Ipissimi

The Third Order consists of three Sovereign Ipissimi, Founder Gudni Gudnason, Sovereign Ipsissimus Hideto Nakagome, and Sovereign Ipsissimus Dave Lanyon. Together they work in unity to ensure the integrity of the Lineage of King Salomon is maintained, and to make it available to all those who seek.

Founder Gudni Gudnason was born in Iceland and was first initiated into the Lineage of King Salomon through the British Mystery School, which is closed to the public. His teaching career spans 50 years of Kabbalah, Alchemy, Metaphysics, Quantum Physics, and much more. He also has a long career as an artist, a producer, a philanthropist, and a musician.

Sovereign Ipsissimus Hideto Nakagome was Initiated into the Lineage in 2000 and is the leader of the Modern Mystery School Japan. Coming from a Japanese Samurai familial lineage, he brings a lifetime of experience in esoteric Buddhism to his mission of empowering people to become aware of the beauty and good within themselves.

Sovereign Ipsissimus Dave Lanyon was Initiated into the Lineage in 2004 and oversees the expansion of the Modern Mystery School growing it from a presence in 12 countries to more than 50 worldwide. His mastery of martial arts and warrior mindset empowers his students to overcome any obstacle to their greatness and achieve their highest potential.

These 15 individuals have reached the pinnacle initiation of Ipsissimus (m), Ipsissima (f), for their years of dedication, service, and mastery, and are the leaders of their respective area expertise.  They serve as master teachers and stewards of the Modern Mystery School, carrying the responsibility of preserving the integrity, continuity, and living wisdom of the Lineage of King Salomon. Through decades of dedicated study, service, and leadership, they mentor Guides and teachers around the world, ensuring that these ancient teachings are transmitted with authenticity, compassion, and purpose. The Governing Ipsissimus & Ipsissima Council

The Council of Twelve

The Council of Twelve are the leading governing women in the Modern Mystery School. Some of them have also attained the level of Ipsissima and serve in both capacities. The 12 Divinas work directly alongside the Sovereign Ipsissimi to provide council and direct the administrative flow of the Lineage through the School. They serve as a critical bridge between the Lineage and the School, ensuring that the integrity of the Lineage is maintained in all applications. You can read more about them and their work here.
